The tool covers 14 destinations: UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, UAE, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland — the countries international IGCSE / IB students most commonly apply to. You can select one or multiple countries in step 1 of the wizard.

Full tuition means the scholarship covers 100% of tuition (sometimes plus living costs). Partial tuition means a tuition reduction or fixed award that covers part of the fees. Living costs means the scholarship primarily covers living expenses — common in Germany and Switzerland where public university tuition is already very low.

Accessible scholarships have higher acceptance rates and are often automatic on admission. Moderate scholarships require a separate application but are achievable with strong grades. Highly competitive scholarships (Chevening, MEXT, Pearson, Ivy League need-blind aid) are prestigious awards with very limited places — excellent grades are a minimum requirement, not a guarantee.

Some scholarships — especially Singapore government awards like the ASEAN Scholarship and MOE Scholarship — require recipients to work for a local employer for a fixed period (typically 3–6 years) after graduating. This is flagged with ⚠️ bond required on the scholarship card. Always check the bond terms before accepting a scholarship offer.

Automatic means the scholarship is considered from your standard university application with no extra form. Separate application means you need to complete a scholarship-specific form, often after receiving an admission offer. Embassy nomination means you apply through your home country's government or embassy before approaching the university.

Note that some highly competitive awards (Chevening, MEXT) require a bachelor's or master's degree and are for postgraduate applicants — for those, your IGCSE grades are your pre-university starting point, not the direct eligibility criteria.
