Edexcel Modular IGCSE English Language for Parents
If your child’s school uses Edexcel modular IGCSE English Language, exams arrive in two units rather than only at the end of Year 11. Parents who understand 4WEA1, 4WEA2 and cash-in (4XEA1) can support timing and morale without rewriting essays for them.

| Quiet timed space for practice papers | Writing the transactional task for them |
| Ask them to read aloud news/editorials | Comparing to other children’s marks publicly |
| Celebrate unit completion | Panic if Unit 1 was weaker — resit may exist |
| Book tutor for mark-scheme feedback | Buying pre-written “model essays” online |
Unit 1 vs Unit 2 (simple)
| Unit | Child is tested on |
|---|---|
| 1 | Reading non-fiction + formal writing (letter/article/speech) |
