A lot of students in Ireland revise seriously for the next assessment, but older topics still slip away in the background.

That is why between-assessment revision matters.

Why older topics fade too easily

Students often focus on whatever is immediately in front of them, which means:

• recent classwork gets most of the attention
• earlier weak areas are not revisited soon enough
• the course becomes less stable over time
• pressure rises later when too much needs refreshing at once

Why stronger resources help

A better resource system makes it easier to keep older topics active even when the next assessment is on something newer.

That helps students:

• revisit weak areas earlier
• keep course continuity stronger
• reduce relearning later
• build steadier progress across the year

Where Tutopiya fits

Tutopiya’s learning portal gives students clearer academic resources across subjects, which is especially useful when Edexcel IGCSE revision needs better continuity between assessments.

Why this matters in Ireland

Students in Ireland following international pathways often need self-study systems that help them keep the whole course alive, not just the next test topic.

Best next step

If older topics keep slipping between assessments, explore Tutopiya’s learning portal resources and build a more stable Edexcel IGCSE revision routine.
